Each year, Salary.com estimates how much mom would earn if she were paid for all of the jobs she performs. The survey is based on the job titles of Laundry Machine Operator, Janitor, Van Driver, Housekeeper, Computer Operator I, Cook, Day Care Center Teacher, Facilities Manager, Psychologist, and Chief Executive Officer. In 2009, compensation for Stay-at-Home Mom equaled $122,732, and $76,184 for Working Mom.
We don’t need a salary calculation to tell you that a mother’s work is valuable. Or more to the point, invaluable. This year, Mother’s Day is May 9. In honor of the many hats she wears, we’ve compiled a few Mother’s Day gift ideas for that special Mom in your life.
Give the gift of relaxation with a gift certificate for massage. With the money you save, you can add a plush robe and some soft slippers.
Take Mom out on the town for dinner and a show. Give her tickets to something she would love to see along with our discount certificates for fine dining.
Surprise Mom with a luxurious getaway. We have Wisconsin hotel discounts for 23 hotels and resorts in cities all over the state. Add a travel set stocked with her favorite toiletries.
Don’t forget the flowers. On our site, you’ll find discount coupons for floral, candy, and even fruit bouquets for 50% off or more.
We think Salary.com may have left some jobs out. What job titles would you add?
